Rail project. This contract includes the construction of 8 km of double-track
tunnel as part of Taiwan's high-speed railway between Kaoh- siung and Taipei.
Assistant to Lead Geotechnical Engineer, and responsible for on site supervision
of all geotechnical matters on behalf of the contractor. In charge of local
geologists for geological monitoring during tunnelling, and supervision of site
investigations being completed as part of the JV's contract.

Shimizu-Maeda-Bangun Cipta JO, Musi Hydroelectric Project, Indonesia
Site geologist and geological engineer responsible for geological mapping during
tunnel and underground power house construction. Supervised borehole site investigations
and interpreted investigation results. Installed and monitored geotechnical
instrumentation including tunnel convergence measure- ments, rock anchor load
cells, and pore water pressure measurements.
December
1996 to July 1998
RSEA-NK-Teguh Reksa Jaya JO, Way Sekumpang Irrigation Project, Sumatra,
Indonesia
Site Geologist for contractor during construction of tunnel, dam, and earth-
works for irrigation project. Responsible for underground geological mapping
and supervision and interpretation of borehole site investigations. Monitored
and interpreted geotechnical instrumentation for permeability pumping tests,
and for groundwater level investigations.
December
1995 to December 1996
PT Kelian Equatorial Mining Project, Nakam Dam project, Kalimantan,
Indonesia
Project Geotechnical Engineer responsible for geological mapping of dam area
and supervision and interpretation of borehole site investigations. Completed
core logging and prepared borehole logs. Supervised completion of groundwater
lowering boreholes, and installation and monitoring of pore water pressure instrumentation.

including underground powerhouse and over 20 km of headrace and interceptor
tunnels. Responsible for geological mapping during tunnel and power house excavation,
and surface mapping of region near the headrace tunnel's intake at Singkarak
Lake. Supervised and interpreted borehole site investigation and prepared borehole
logs. Monitored tunnel instrumentation for convergence measurements and ground
movement in vicinity of major shear zone (Great Sumatra Fault), a branch of
which passed near the tunnel intake.
